This year is a special year for the Oratory Preparatory School as it marks 160 years since the school was founded by Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman. The school opened in Edgbaston, Birmingham on 2 May 1859 with nine boys.
This year we will reflect on all that the school and its pupils have achieved, and celebrate everything that makes the school so special. You will notice that we have created a special anniversary logo to mark the year. We’ll also share historical photographs and items of interest from the school archive.
