History is brought to life through our History Days and visiting sites of historical interest. These have included Windsor Castle, the Tower of London, Imperial War Museum Victorian village at Blists Hill and to Ironbridge, trips to Rome, Pompeii, St. Albans, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Bath, and to Normandy including the Bayeux Tapestry and the Normandy Beaches.
Art department trips can have a strong history dimension including to Stanley Spencer’s World War 1 murals at Sandham Memorial Chapel and to the Somme and Ypres Battlefields.
