Friends of The Oratory Prep School

Friends of The Oratory Prep School (FOPS)

FOPS is the parents’ organisation at The Oratory Prep School. Founded in 1994, their vision is to foster The OPS community by welcoming new families and creating events within the school year to enhance the OPS experience for all pupils, parents, teachers and staff.

Some of the highlights of the school year include:

  • Bonfire Night celebrations with an amazing fireworks display (November)
  • Christmas Fair with the famous Santa’s Grotto & Christmas Trail (December)
  • Summer Fete (May)
  • Parents Summer Ball (not to be missed!)

The events not only enhance the school community, but also have a fundraising element for both local charities and to provide additional facilities for the school, which would not otherwise be affordable. These additional purchases are not traditional school investments, but fun “extras”.

Current fundraising is focused on providing a zip wire for both the older pupils and the younger years.

Emily Calvocoressi

Chair and Mum to Roy (Year 2)

My background is in design and luxury retail but currently working as a part time PA. We have two working cocker spaniels – they’re absolutely bonkers but life just isn’t the same without them!

Claire Tier

Co-Vice Chair and Mum of Autumn (Year 4)

I currently work part-time as a Brand Ambassador for Davis Tate Estate Agents. My happy place is skiing with family and friends in the Port du Souiel (Sun & Ski just perfect) or laying on a beach with a cocktail.

Vicki Tate

Co-Vice Chair and Mum to Tilly (Year 4), Laurie (Year 9 at Shiplake College), and Amelia (Year 10 at St Helen and St Katherine)

I am a doctor but have taken some time out of clinical medicine, apart from during the pandemic. Amelia and Tilly both have Type 1 Diabetes and I am setting up a peer support group at the Oxford Children’s Hospital.

Natalie W

Treasurer and Mum to two children in school (Year 1 and Pre-Reception)

I have been an accountant for over 17 years and when I’m not working, I really enjoy being outdoors, from a family bike ride, a walk or a run, to occasionally scuba diving!”

Anna Fink

Co-Communications Chair and Mum to Eliot (Year 1) and Atticus (Reception)

Currently working part time as a lawyer, I originally hail from Baltimore, Maryland. Being on the beach, lake (or pond), dog walks, reading by the fire, dancing and bbq-ing are all favourite pastimes!

Françoise Marsh-Meyer

Co-Communications Chair and Mum to Lily (Year 2) and Trystan (Reception)

I’m half French/half Swiss German. Before being lured to the beautiful English countryside, I worked in Marketing and licensing of luxury beauty brands in Switzerland. Being a passionate gourmet, I spend my time photographing food & cocktails for my blog.

Bec MacGillivray

Co-Secretary and Mum to Noah (Year 1) and Alex (Reception)

Serve in the Royal Air Force so have travelled and lived across the world, finally settling here in Oxfordshire. You’ll find us skiing or walking the hound!

Siobhan Brown

Parent Liaison and Mum to Katie (Year 2) and Jessica (Reception).

After a 20-year stint working in media life is focused on family life these days but I love to set myself a new challenge.  This year has been learning to row!

Kasia Brewer

Committee Member and Mom to Helena (Year 4)

I’m a Londoner at heart and with Polish heritage, I’m pushing for bilingual children with mixed results! I’m a big reader, museum goer, Campari drinker and reluctant exerciser.
