The Oratory Pre-Prep is characterised by the happiness and success of the children and enjoys a well-deserved reputation as a school that offers a wide, up to date exciting curriculum within a caring, ordered and friendly environment. Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum we believe the Oratory Pre-Prep is an effective school which educates the whole child by providing opportunities in breadth and depth for the concurrent development of all dimensions in school life – academic, cultural, aesthetic and creative, spiritual, moral, physical and practical. We aim to discover the unique talents and abilities of each individual, in accordance with our philosophy and vision.

From the moment your child joins The Oratory Pre-Prep the teacher seeks to know them as an individual and creates a trusting relationship in order to facilitate their learning. All our teachers strive to support, encourage and gently challenge the children on their learning journey and promote a holistic education where the spiritual, moral, social, physical and creative aspects of a child’s development are nurtured as well as the cognitive.

There is a strong family ethos in our school, and we aim to work together as a team, parents, children and teachers, to ensure that every child has the best possible start.

Our pastoral care of the children is of prime importance to us: we want every child to look forward to coming to school and to regard it as a safe, happy and exciting place to be. The six ‘Golden Rules’ that underpin school life are understood and respected by the children who all do their utmost to keep them.

Our strength has always been based around the belief that every child is an individual and we aim to put the child at the heart of everything we do.

Sowing the foundations to develop compassionate, internationally-minded citizens who actively add value to the world in which they live.
