On the morning of Friday 15 March, a group of visiting children joined our Early Years pupils for a morning dedicated to celebrating the joys of spring. The children went on a walk through the grounds, where they spotted signs of spring, including frogspawn, birdsong and daffodils. They eventually made their way to the Forest School site, where they sat in a circle and spoke about the season. The children contributed to the Forest School site as they spent time adding to the giant Bird Nest that the children have been creating; padding it out with leafs and twigs. The children had lots of fun hunting for missing bird’s eggs, hugging trees, singing songs and playing on the mud hill. The morning culminated in a special seasonal story in the Forest School circle, accompanied by a warming hot chocolate and a biscuit or two. Thank you to all of the staff who helped to make this such a special spring morning.
