On the last day of term, we came together as a school community to celebrate our leavers as well as hold our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving, attended by Years 3 to 8 pupils and their families.
In the morning, our Year 8 Leavers’ Service took place to give thanks for another successful year and to celebrate the time that our Year 8 pupils have had at the Oratory Prep School. It was also a wonderful opportunity to wish our pupils well in their future endeavours as they move on to their senior schools.
Following the service, our school community came together for our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving, celebrating the numerous successes of our pupils over the last academic year. Deputy Head, Mr Chris Winterbottom, led the proceedings followed by a moving speech by our outgoing Headmaster, Mr Rob Stewart. Pupils from Years 3 to 8 took to the stage to receive their awards in front of families and friends with the event ending with a very special performance from ‘The BackSeat Boys’, consisting of 5 of our staff members!
Families of our 2022 leavers then gathered on the East Lawn for a wonderful celebration lunch in the sunshine.
