Many Paths, One Shared Journey
As the summer term drew to a close, we bade farewell to our Year 8 pupils with immense pride and a few happy tears. This year’s leavers are heading off to an impressive and varied range of senior schools, each child taking the next step on their journey, ready and well prepared for all that lies ahead.
What makes this group so special isn’t just the destinations they’ve secured, but the confidence and character with which they’ve got there. Our Year 8s are off to co-educational and single-sex, boarding and day schools, selective schools near and far. Included are 4 scholars who achieved Academic, Drama, Sport and Art awards.
Among the list are some of the most competitive and well-regarded senior schools in the country, but what matters most to us is that each pupil is moving on to the school that’s right for them. We don’t funnel pupils down one path, but help them discover who they are and what suits them best.

This is the result of careful guidance, strong relationships with families and the gentle but purposeful way we prepare our pupils through our Futures Programme including interview practice, assessments, mentoring and, above all, through knowing them as individuals. Our leavers don’t just leave with excellent results; they leave as kind, curious and wise young people, ready for new challenges and friendships.
