Day Pupils (from September 2025)

Reception, Year 1 & 2 (Age 4-7)

£4,270 per term

£1,165 per month
(based on 11 month payment schedule)

Core Hours: 8.15am – 3.30pm

Includes tea, occasional supper, travel away to matches and most extra-curricular activities.

Please note all school fees are inclusive of VAT.

Lunch will be charged at £480 per term. For any clarification on schools fees and lunches, please see our terms and conditions.

Breakfast Club – 7:30am – 8:15am (Reception – Year 8) Booked in advance, or taken ad hoc and billed in arrears – £11 per day

After School Care – 4:00pm – 6:00pm (Reception – Year 2) – £11 per hour (including snack)

English as an Additional Language (EAL) teaching 1:1 sessions can be arranged at an additional cost – £37 per half-hour group session

Learning Support (SEND) teaching – £37 per half-hour

Musical instrument tuition and hire – Please contact Head of Music

Transport – Charge TBC

Ad hoc Late Stay with Dinner – Between 6.00pm – 8.00pm (Reception – Year 8) – £22 per day

Year 3 – Year 8 (Age 7-13)

Flexi-Boarding night – £60 per night

International pupils requiring a visa are required to pay fees upfront as part of their visa application. Additional fees may also be required for additional EAL support.

Flexi-Boarding: This is available 7 days a week, subject to availability, and includes supper, prep supervision (week nights only), on site activities and breakfast.

Additional Notes

Registration Fee and Acceptance Deposit

The Registration Fee is payable upon registration and is non-returnable.

  • UK pupils (Nursery – Year 8): £85
  • International Pupils (Year 3 – Year 8): £250

A general deposit is required to secure a place for your child at The Oratory Prep School; this is refunded on your child leaving, providing your account with the school is clear. Deposit amounts are as follows:

  • UK pupils (Nursery – Year 8): £600
  • International pupils: £2,500

Additional Fee Information

Day Pupils

Full, Weekly and Flexi-Boarding

  • International pupils requiring a visa are required to pay fees upfront as part of their visa application. Additional fees will be charged for EAL support.

Flexi-Boarding

  • This is available 7 days a week, subject to availability, and includes supper, prep supervision (week nights only), on site activities and breakfast.
  • Please note that Flexi-Boarding charges do not include extras, such as compulsory excursions. These will be charged in addition.

Termly Fees

The fees for each term are payable either on or before the first day of term. For more information on fees, please refer to our terms and conditions.

Monthly Interest Free Payment Scheme

We are also pleased to offer interest-free monthly payments to our parents. Our parents have the option to pay over eleven months of the academic year. This means that the fee invoice can be paid in eleven equal instalments, with payment in full completed by June. Each term’s fees are divided equally into three or four monthly payments (4 monthly payments in Autumn Term, 4 monthly payments in Spring Term and 3 monthly payments in Summer Term).

Additional Funding

Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare: The school is set up to take childcare vouchers and the Government’s tax free childcare scheme. Full details of the appropriate childcare scheme can be found on the Government website, please contact our Finance Department if you need any further assistance.

Means-Tested Bursaries

How it works?

Pay your fees via TransferMate using a simple 3 step process.

  1. Register on the secure TransferMate domain and enter your payment details.
  2. You’ll receive the exchange rate for that day, choose wire [bank] transfer or credit card as your payment method.
  3. Once funds are received by TransferMate, these funds are immediately transferred to the school from Barclays in the UK.

After School Clubs and Activities

After School Clubs and Activities (Kindergarten – Year 2) are available from 4:00pm – 5:00pm and must be booked termly in advance. A snack and refreshments are provided. Pupils can choose from a wide range of after school activities and there is no additional charge for clubs run by school staff. Clubs run by external providers are charged separately.

After School Clubs and Activities (Year 3 – Year 8) are available from 5:00pm – 6:00pm (excluding Wednesdays) and must be booked termly in advance. A snack and refreshments are provided. Pupils can choose from a wide range of after school activities and there is no additional charge for clubs run by school staff. Clubs run by external providers are charged separately. The minimum commitment period for chargeable activities is one term.

School Transport

We are delighted to announce that we are extending our school bus infrastructure from September 2024. We currently run a school morning bus for pupils from Watlington, Shiplake and Henley, including a pick-up point at Peppard, Monday to Friday. There is also an after school bus from the school to Watlington, Shiplake and Henley, including a drop off point at Peppard Crossroads. Please click here for more information.
