“Hello there, I’m George and I wanted to share a bit about myself with you. I had the honour of being the Head Boy from 2022 to 2023, which was a really proud moment for me. But my journey at this school started back in 2013.
Before that, I was in a small nursery at Thames Valley Park, where our playground was smaller than the pre-prep tennis court and I’m thankful for all the great facilities I had access to at The OPS.
One of my earliest memories here was when I had my very first swimming lesson. I was so excited! Over time, a lot of my friends became great athletes, which is really cool to see.
Some of the things I learnt when I was younger have stuck with me, and I think they always will. They’ve been like guiding lights in my life. For instance the ability to forge new friendships and to be kind.
But being Head Boy isn’t the only part of my story.
I’ve had some awesome experiences with my friends on trips to places like Barcelona and London, as well as trips way back from pre-prep times. These are memories I’ll always treasure because they helped me grow and understand the world better.
This school, The OPS, has been like a compass for me. It’s not just about books and sports – it’s helped me make good friends and become a better person overall.
I owe a lot to the teachers and staff at The OPS. They’ve supported me all the way, and without them, I wouldn’t be here sharing my story. They’ve encouraged me to be the best I can be.
So, in a nutshell, my time at The OPS has been an amazing journey of learning, making friends, and becoming who I am today. I’m thankful for the past, and I’m excited about what lies ahead, all thanks to The OPS.”
