Parent Clubs

A School for the Whole Family

School life isn’t just about the children. Of course, they’re at the heart of everything we do, but over the years we’ve seen so many friendships grow between parents too. It might start with a conversation at the school gates, while watching a match or over a cup of coffee at an event. Before long, those familiar faces become the people you look forward to seeing each day.

That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

We want families to feel part of our community from the moment they join The Oratory Prep School, which is why we offer a range of activities for parents throughout the week.

Whether you fancy a swim before work, enjoy a game of tennis, would like to dust off your hockey stick or football boots, or simply love to sing, there’s something to get involved in.

Our current parent clubs include:

  • Choir – Monday at 8.15am
  • Swimming – Tuesday and Thursday at 8.15am
  • Tennis – Wednesday and Friday at 8.15am
  • Football – Sunday at 3.00pm
  • Hockey – Sunday at 3.00pm

The wonderful thing is that these groups bring together parents from right across the school. Whether your child has just started in Little Oaks or is preparing to leave in Year 8, everyone is welcome.

You don’t have to be an expert either. These clubs about taking an hour for yourself, having a laugh and getting to know other parents.

When people talk about the sense of community at OPS, this is what they mean. A school where children are known as individuals and where parents quickly feel that they belong too.

We hope you’ll come along and join us.
